Ceremony & Reception

I have to say when it comes to planning I can be very hasty.  I don't have much patience or the time to go to a million places to look at. I also consider myself easy to please.

At first, I really liked the way the Carolina Club looked, a Plantation style mansion. I saw pictures and was like, perfect, looks good to me.  After going there to eat one night, I found the service to be horrible.  The next day was my meeting with the event coordinator and I just didn't click with her. My mom was also giving me crap for not looking at more places before I made my decision.

Price was a big thing for me, I needed to find a place that wasn't more than $100 per person. So after browsing online, I found the menu for Carmen's at the Top of the Bridge at the Boca Raton Bridge Hotel. The menu seemed very appealing to me.  The exterior of the building isn't the best, I know this, but I really do love the location.  The views of the intracoastal and the ocean are beautiful to me. I went one night and had a few drinks at the bar, and really liked it.  The restaurant is on the top floor and was recently remodeled, it seemed perfect for the amount of people I planned on inviting.

I called to talk to the event coordinator and she was very nice and had the date available that I really wanted, 10/10/10!  After I heard that, I was like this is the place!  After taking my parents there, they were pleased too.  I was very happy my mom didn't continue to bug me to keep looking after that, haha.
